I can't get a connection to the adapter nor with the usb to rs232 converter, not even with a real serial port. Is it possible that I need an external power source. I also used a null modem adapter.
Access to the adapter via the serial interface:
Please install a terminal client (e.g. PuTTY). Press and hold the '+' key and connect the BLE232 adapter to the serial interface (idle timeout: 500 ms). This will take you to the configuration menu. The default setting of the serial interface is 115200 8N1.
the BLE232 adapter works with a parasitic supply via the serial interface. Min. two control lines must have high level. if the interface does not supply enough current, the adapter must be supplied externally.
