We need to connect a cash register system to a serial printer. The BLE232 is the right device once socket / once plug but I still need to know how far the range is.

I would also like to know how to pair the devices. Does the pairing remain fixed in the firmware, or is there a risk that the pairing disconnects?

(One side is a printer, from this side I cannot fabricate a simple solution in the event of an error and would then have to plan for at least 2 serial interfaces and a gender changer on the checkout side).

I have a technical question regarding BLE232-central (545757). I would like to change my BLE232 from central to peripheral, the problem ist taht the programme (PuTTY) does not let me change the setting. Is there any way I can do this?

We have received the adapter "BLE232", unfortunately it is not possible to connect to the BLE via Bluetooth. It does not matter whether the standard configuration is used or not. This was tested with different end devices (If relevant: Galaxy S10+, Galaxy Tab A7, OnePlus 6, Windows PC's).

Current settings are:
- BLE Role: Central
- ID: 10:24:51:20:85:85 (does this matter?)
- Serial Setup: 9600, Paritiy: none, Stop bits: 1, XON/XOFF: off

The debug console outputs the following:

Is an external power supply necessary? If so, must this be connected via all signals DCD,DSR,RST,...? or is one of these connections sufficient and must Schottky diodes be used there?

We have several BLE 232 Peripheral devices from you, however, we're having issues connecting to them for configuration.

We have an Android app to connect to BLE and print on a serial Epson printer.
This worked until we used iOS APP to change the baud rate.
After reconfiguring the device with an iOS app it is only visible from iOS APP and android is unable to find it.

Also we're unable to connect over the serial port from PC, when we connect it to either COM port or USB to DSUB adapter it doesn't seem to power on.

I bought a BLE232 Central from you. The instructions explained the connections on board. I have connected VCC / GND to a laboratory power supply unit to supply the device with power. No LED lights up on the BLE232. I have connected TX/RX to a serial port on the PC, through which I can otherwise connect other devices without any problems.
But I can't get into the setup menu of the BLE232. Nothing is displayed so far. Do I have to pay attention to anything else, or is it possible that the device is defective?

We have purchased a taskit BLE232 peripheral to send data from an altimeter to a PC via Bluetooth. The altimeter is an old Trimos and we want to send the data via the RS232 printer output.

For this we have to change the configuration. We are not quite sure how to get into the BLE232.

Is it possible via Bluetooth, and where can we find it on the PC (Windows10)? Or do we have to connect the BLE232 directly to the RS232 input of the PC?

Is it then possible to establish contact via a Bluetooth USB dongle? Or do we need something else.

I have connected the BLE to a USB (serial adapter). Unfortunately, the adapter does not appear in the list of available Blootooth devices. How can I solve this problem?

I bought “BLE232_peripheral with 9 pin DSUB male”.

I paired it through Bluetooth with succes with my computer but no COM is created.

My computer use Windows 11 Professional

Is there a driver file to solve that? How can I solve that?
